Rumoured: Manchester United in pursuit of unsettled Iniesta
According to the Daily Mail, David Moyes will be targeting Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta in January, since the player has been reported to be unhappy with the current management.
Moyes, who failed to snatch both Thiago Alacantra and Cesc Fabregas from Barcelona in the summer, will be looking for more luck in his third attempt as he is still being criticized for his failure to make a marquee singing.
Iniesta’s current deal with the Spanish giants expires in 2015 and talks of a new deal broke down recently, which has left the player unsettled. The midfielder was reportedly unhappy with the developments in the pitch, and the sacking of physio Emili Ricart has made thing worse. Ricart was instrumental in helping Iniesta overcome his leg injuries but was shown the door when the club underwent a change in management.
Iniesta was an integral part in the success of the club in recent years and is famed for his partnership with Lionel Messi and Xavi. Moyes, who will be looking to make additions to his worrying midfield in the January, is also reportedly planning to make a move for Real Madrid’s Fabio Coentrao to solve his problems at left back.
