Manchester United manager David Moyes scouts Cavani, Kroos and Ginter

Edinson Cavani of PSG is one of David Moyes’ primary targets.

Reports in Germany suggest that Manchester United manager David Moyes was in the stands during the Hertha Berlin and Freiburg match last Friday, and watched 20-year old defender Matthias Ginter play.

“If it is true, I am of course honoured and excited,” Ginter was flattered by Manchester United’s interest in him.  “On the other hand, there is still a long way to the summer.”

Ginter’s current contract with Freiburg runs until 2017, and a move to England is highly possible.

Ginter wasn’t the only German player that Moyes had scouted as Manchester United scouts were also present in the Allianz Arena to watch Bayern Munich’s Toni Kroos play against Schalke.

German newspaper Bild also suggested that Moyes is looking to bring Paris Saint Germain striker Edinson Cavani to Old Trafford as a replacement to their unsettled striker Robin van Persie.
