Reports: Manchester United midfielder set for AC Milan move
What’s the rumour?
Marouane Fellaini has been offered a 3-year contract by AC Milan according to The Times. The Belgian midfielder will be out of contract at Old Trafford at the end of this month.
The report claims that he will decide his future before the World Cup itself. Jose Mourinho opted to leave the 30-year-old out of the United squad that lost the FA Cup final to Chelsea.
In case you didn’t know...
Fellaini moved out of his Cheshire home last week, dropping the biggest hint that his career at Old Trafford is over. Mirror claim that he has snubbed 3 contract talks from Manchester United as he is not happy with their offers.
The heart of the matter
AC Milan spent a lot on rebuilding their squad last summer but were unable to challenge for the title. They signed a lot of young and exciting talents but the experience factor was missing from the squad – especially in the midfield.
Jose Mourinho has been very open about his interest in keeping the Belgian at Old Trafford but that has not had any effect. Fellaini is clearly not happy being a substitute at the club and wants to play more regularly.
In February, Mourinho asked Fellaini to shut up and sign the contract offered by Manchester United. He said, "I told him to sign the contract and shut up. I told him don't gamble too much before you know the extent of the injury. I don't know [if he will sign an extension]."
Rumour probability: 8/10
While it's pretty much clear that Fellaini is not going to be at Manchester United next season, it will be interesting to see if he goes to Milan – especially because they don't have champions league football next season.

Fellaini will be missed a lot by Jose Mourinho, but not the Manchester United fans. They want to see their side sign talents who can make them play better football.
