Manchester United move in for Pjanic and Marchisio
After suffering demoralizing consecutive defeats at the hands of Spurs,Swansea and Sunderland,Manchester United have seemingly woken up from their slumber in the transfer window.David Moyes is quite rightly, looking for a creative spark in the midfield which can turn their disappointing season around and can help them mount a serious challenge for the Top 4.
If reports are to be believed,Manchester United have made formal approaches to sign Juventus midfielders Claudio Marchisio and Roma’s 23 year old Miralem Pjanic.
As far as United’s link with the 27 year old Marchisio is concerned,Italian sources state that the Red Devils have made an offer worth €27 million for the Italian, who has featured 13 times for the Turin side this season.
After truly proving himself in 2009-10 season, Marchisio has become a key part of the Juventus side.Due to his tactical command and abilities,he has been dubbed as the “New Marco Tardelli” and has scored a total of 25 goals for his side in 160 appearances.
As mentioned above, United have also made an attempt to sign 23 year old Bosnian midfielder Miralem Pjanic, who is well known for scoring blinders for his AS Roma side.
Several sources suggest that Manchester United have made a formal attempt in order to sign the highly coveted midfielder and have made an undisclosed move for him.
Pjanic, who has been described as an old fashioned midfielder with exceptional technical abilities has managed to hold his side together by stringing a series of slick passes in the midfield. His skills with the dead ball are equally commendable as he’s considered to possess a lethal free kick taking ability from his right foot.
Although,Darren Fletcher ‘s return to action is set to play a role in their season but the likes of Tom Cleverley,Shinji Kagawa and Ashley Young are giving under fire manager David Moyes some points to worry about.
