In case you didn't know...
Manchester United extended their unbeaten run in the Premier League under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as they beat Southampton 3-2 at Old Trafford.
Yan Valery gave Southampton the lead in the 26th minute, which was cancelled by Andreas Pereira eight minutes after the half-time break. Manchester United moved to the fourth position in the Premier League table with this victory and are now in the driving seat to qualify for the Champions League next season, with just nine games left to play.
The heart of the matter
Speaking to journalists after the game, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer insisted that his team showed character against Southampton, and also revealed that the Red Devils' dressing room is bouncing at the moment.
He said (via manunited.com):
It was a great start, I have to say, and then the injury broke up the game a little bit. They contained us and made it an open game.
It was a fantastic strike from the kid [Valery] and then the second goal they scored was a fantastic strike.
What can you do about them? You can’t really do anything about it. So to score three goals ourselves is great. We showed great character. That dressing room is bouncing, full of belief and looking forward to Wednesday.“
