Manchester United's Nick Powell banned for drinking and driving
Manchester United’s upcoming star Nick Powell has been handed a 14 month driving ban after being found guilty of drunk driving and has been ordered to pay £5000 by the Crewe Magistrates Court.
The player who is on loan at Wigan Athletic from Manchester United, was arrested on April 20 in his home town Crewe.
His breath test was 21mg over the legal limit with him registering 54mg per 100ml of breath instead of 35mg or less.

Wigan Athletic have been tight lipped and have not commented on the situation. Reports also suggest that Wigan manager Uwe Rosler has left Nick Powell out of the squad for the semi final playoff against QPR.
Nick Powell had a great start with Wigan Athletic and had been consistent throughout the season. He was also awarded Wigan Athletic’s Golden Boot.
