Manchester United reject PSG's massive bid for Adnan Januzaj

Manchester United have rejected a significant bid from French Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain for their 18-year-old midfielder Adnan Januzaj, according to The Guardian.

Despite the youngster penning his first long term deal with The Red Devils as recently as October, following his impressive break through into the first team set-up, the Parisians have refused to end their pursuit of the Belgian born midfielder.

United refused the offer, of an unspecified amount, immediately and have declared that they are unwilling to enter negotiations for a player that manager David Moyes believes can develop into a central figure at Old Trafford.

Januzaj has become increasingly important for the reigning champions in recent weeks due to the notable absence of Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie.

Although United have recently tied Januzaj to a contract that factors in his potential to progress in the foreseeable future, interest from other potential suitors in Spain and Italy has continued to linger, with United uncertain of Champions League qualification for next season.

Despite the fact he could have agreed a sizeable pay increase if he decided to depart, Januzaj has opted to stay, continue his development and establish himself in United’s ranks further.
