Rumour: Arturo Vidal would welcome move to Old Trafford
Arturo Vidal could be persuaded to join Louis van Gaal’s revolution at Manchester United, writes the Mirror.
Van Gaal, who made a move for the Chilean enforcer when he was in the Bayern Munich hot seat, is said to be weighing up a £30 million bid for Vidal.
Reports in Italy suggest that Vidal is content to stay with Juventus but would consider a move to Old Trafford if the Serie A club were receptive to offers.
However, Juventus are thought to be reluctant to entertain any approaches for the Santiago native, amid interest from numerous Premier League suitors, including Arsenal and Chelsea.
Vidal himself, according to the Express, favours a move to Manchester over the other English clubs, with a potential £230,000-a-week contract awaiting him at the Red Devils.
In the wake of Chile’s World cup exit, the 27-year-old midfielder said little to assuage Juventus fan’s fears over his future in Italy.
He told reporters: “Now I will go on a little holiday. I need to relax with the family, so I can come back stronger than before.”
