"Marcelinho is very important for us" says Delhi Dynamos coach Gianluca Zambrotta
Delhi Dynamos picked up the second win of their season as they beat FC Goa away from home, two goals to nil. This breaks a string of draws and losses that the capital club managed since their first win of the season.
Marcelinho who has had an up and down season so far in the Indian Super League came off the bench to score one and assist one, his manager Gianluca Zambrotta praised the striker after the game, he said "Marcelinho is very important for us and he has played very well so far and he needed recovery so that was the reason behind not starting him and bringing him on in the second half, and I also think Badara [Badji and Kean [Lewis] did well after coming on and I am very happy with the team's performance."

As has been the norm in the Indian Super League so far, there was that one occasion of controversy involving the referee when Goa appealed for a penalty, but the former Juventus man refused to comment on the referee, "I do not want to speak about the referee as it is my philosophy to not do so. I don’t talk about them when it comes to incidents on us or on the opposition"
The Dynamos also picked up the first clean sheet of the season, and one of the main reasons behind it was the returning Anas Edathodika. He made his return from injury in Delhi's previous game against FC Pune City, he spoke after the match expressing his happiness at the result “This was a difficult and important match for us and they are a good team and we respect them and the team was fully prepared for this match, and it was important for us to get the three points,” he said.
The man from Kerala also had compliments for his coach and the physios, he said “The coach has backed me and the physios and doctors have done a great job,” he said.
The Delhi Dynamos play their next game at home to the Kerala Blasters on 4th of October.
