Mario Balotelli to return to Inter Milan?

Manchester City FC v Ajax Amsterdam - UEFA Champions League

MANCHESTER, ENGLAND – NOVEMBER 06: Mario Balotelli of Manchester City protests to Referee Peter Rasmussen after he denied him a penalty during the UEFA Champions League Group D match between Manchester City FC and Ajax Amsterdam at the Etihad Stadium on November 6, 2012 in Manchester, England.

According to The Daily Mirror, Italian side Internazionale Milan are interesting in re-acquiring the services of their youth product Mario Balotelli.

Should the deal go through, it might be one that is conducive to the Italian side and Balotelli’s current club, Barclays Premier League Champions Manchester City. City boss Roberto Mancini has been told he will need to raise funds before searching for new players, while Inter are looking to overhaul their ageing squad by bringing in a raft of young talent.

Balotelli has been at Manchester City since 2010, having featured 73 times, scoring 29 goals. However, he is not first choice at the Etihad Stadium, with Argentine duo Sergio Aguero and Carlos Tevez and Bosnia striker Edin Dzeko being preferred to him in attack.

The 22-year-old, who picked up a runners-up medal the the European Championships which was held in Poland-Ukraine this summer, is more often than not known for his off-the-pitch incidents than his conduct on the pitch.

Fire services were summoned to his house in October 2011 last year, when his friends set off fireworks in the bathroom of his house, the garden of which had been converted into a race track for quad bikes. With days of joining City, he was involved in a car crash and had more than £5,000 in his wallet at the time, claiming he was able to carry so much money because he was rich.

The talented striker has also had his incidents on the pitch. A YouTube video that went viral saw him struggling to put on a training bib while warming up for a UEFA Champions League game against Dynamo Kiev in March 2011. A subsequent video saw him being made fun of by Edin Dzeko. In June that year, he was substituted in the first half while on pre-season tour against LA Galaxy in the United States for showboating in front of the Galaxy keeper and then scuffing his shot wide.

Inter Milan are currently managed by Andrea Stramaccioni, who was youth coach at Inter Milan while Balotelli was present.
