Italy striker Mario Balotelli could be in line for a return to the Premier League after his agent suggested a move to Arsenal is ‘possible’.

Balotelli, who scored his country’s winning goal over England in their 2-1 win on Saturday, has been linked with a return to England for quite some time and could be in line for a £27 million move to Arsenal, if rumours are true.

The striker spent a couple of years with Manchester City before returning to Italy with AC Milan where he has impressed, but could still be on his way out. Balotelli has scored 26 goals in 43 Serie A appearances for Milan but 30 in 54 overall, showing a clear talent in front of goal.

Arsenal, who have reportedly made a £25m bid for Balotelli, are in need of a top striker to lead their line after struggling for much of last season as Olivier Giroud tired and suffered in front of goal. Signing Balotelli would be a huge statement of intent for the Gunners but his attitude may be a problem for Arsene Wenger to deal with.

When prompted with a question about a possible transfer to Arsenal, Mino Raiola said: “Arsenal are a fantastic club. Will a transfer happen? Anything is possible.”

Raiola was then asked if he’d opened negotiations with the north London club but told the reporters to mind their own business.
