Massimiliano Allegri confirms he'll return to management next summer
Massimiliano Allegri is all set to return to football management at the start of the next season after parting ways with Juventus in the summer, where he spent five successful years.
The Italian is also reportedly taking English lessons in Milan and this might be a huge hint about the fact that he is eyeing the English Premier League as his next venture.
The Italian coach is a six-time Serie A winner, four-time Copa Italia winner and three-time Supercoppa Italiana winner with Juventus, having converted the Allianz Stadium into a fortress in Italy as well as Europe. He also managed to reach the Champions League final twice but lost both the finals against Spanish oppositions - Real Madrid and Barcelona.
It is still uncertain which club Allegri will be selecting to return to the dugout, with some of the top Italian teams also struggling to perform well, namely Napoli and AC Milan.
Currently, the only top English club without a permanent manager on-board are Arsenal, who sacked Spanish manager Unai Emery a week ago due to a poor run of performances. Club legend Freddie Ljungberg is currently the caretaker manager of the club, but there are uncertainties over his permanent appointment.
There have been links between Arsenal and Allegri since Arsene Wenger announced his departure, but the Italian had no plans of leaving Turin then, as his Juventus side were on course to another Scudetto that season.
With the situation changed now, the ex-Juventus boss, who is currently unemployed, might be eyeing the Arsenal job.
Whichever club the 52-year-old joins next summer, it is definite that he will bring a huge amount of experience in man-management and winning trophies, which might be handy to some Italian and English clubs looking to secure their long lost glory.
