10 fastest footballers: Meet Jurgen Damm who is apparently the second fastest in the world
Real Madrid speedster Gareth Bale’s top spot as the world’s fastest footballer could be in jeopardy as Mexican club Pachuca introduced 22-year-old Jurgen Damm as the second fastest player when running with the ball, only second to the Welsh winger.
A recent study conducted by Damm's very own club, Pachuca has left many of us confused as the list misses out on several prominent footballers, including the likes of Bayern Munich’s Arjen Robben, Barcelona’s Neymar and Chelsea’s Eden Hazard, while it has Real Madrid centre back Sergio Ramos in the top 10. For the validation of the facts and figures stated in the study, it is said to have been backed by FIFA.
Bale has been recorded to have clocked a high speed of 36.9 km per hour with the ball at his feet, followed by Damm almost catching up with the Welshman’s speeding prowess with 35.25 km per hour.
