Messi, Suarez and I are better than Ronaldo, Benzema and Bale: Neymar
Barcelona striker Neymar has set the ball rolling just 11 days before the impending ‘El Classico’ by suggesting that Barca’s attacking trio consisting of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and him are better than their Real Madrid counterparts. Real boasts the famed ‘BBC’ front three of Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale.
The Brazilian, in an interview with Futbol Base MIC on Wednesday, was asked about Real’s stike-force. When asked if Barca’s South American trio were better than the Los Blancos frontmen, Neymar replied, “I think so, but I'd rather not talk about our opponents, we focus on moving forward with our games.
“We're getting to know each other better and better. Suarez and Messi are two players who need no introduction. Messi is the best in the world and Suarez is one of the best too. It's wonderful to play alongside them.”
Neymar has been in stellar form this season notching up 26 goals and 8 assists in 33 starts for his club. The Brazilian also stressed on the importance of the upcoming clash with Real Madrid on 23rd March at the Camp Nou.
He said, “It will be really decisive. We'll approach it like a final. We're only thinking about winning. Leaving Real Madrid four points adrift? We have to focus on our own season. There is still a long way to go.”
Currently, the La Liga table is poised on a knife’s age with Barca leading the pack. Real, however, are just one point behind and will be looking forward to leapfrog of their rivals with a victory in the upcoming match.
