Mexico's World Cup jersey inspired by WWE wrestler Rey Mysterio's mask?

adidasGroup released a video which shows how the designers came up with various designs for the World Cup jerseys – particularly those of Spain, Germany and Mexico.

As one of the designers explains in the video, the gold in Spain’s jersey symbolizes that they’re the cup holders while the red shades in the Germany jersey was dedicated to German youth.

But when he talks about the Mexico jersey, just one thing was the sole inspiration – a wrestler’s mask, much like the one worn by WWE super star Rey Mysterio!
