Mitchell Marsh trolls Steven Gerrard on Twitter, calls him a Manchester United legend
Australian cricketer Mitchell Marsh showed his quirky sense of humour as he trolled former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard and called him a ‘Manchester United legend’. The cricketer is no stranger to his wacky tweets and just like New Zealand's Jimmy Neesham, Mitch has carved a niche for himself on the social networking site.
The 24-year old posted a picture of himself photographed with Steven Gerrard and termed him as a Manchester United legend, along with a fishing emoji, in the end, signifying it was a troll. Many people did not seem to understand the sarcasm and corrected Marsh.
For the smart few tweeple who did get the joke, they hailed Marsh for his sense of humour. Though the youngster doesn't often involve in banter like Neesham, he still enthralls his followers with his funny tweets and photos on the site.
Meanwhile, Marsh has been rested for the second ODI against India and he will be replaced by Victoria seam bowler John Hastings, who is Melbourne Stars' leading wicket-taker in the current BBL season, with 8 wickets.
