Mohun Bagan to start their mid-season camping at Durgapur tomorrow
It’s not the actual Mohun Bagan we have seen so far in the previous days. Today’s Mohun Bagan is filled up with sadness and agony. Players are living each and every moment of their life full of insecurity regarding their future in India’s national football club. At this moment, surprising all the fans, Mohun Bagan is going to start their mid-season camping from tomorrow at Durgapur. According to the club’s report, this camp will go on till next Saturday.
The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has already given Mohun Bagan 2.5 years of suspension from the I-League. Though Mohun Bagan appealed to the federation for lowering their punishment, the Mohun Bagan fans have to wait till January 15, as on that day, AIFF will take the decision in their core committee meeting.
While other I-League clubs are busy with the tight schedule of their matches, at the same time, Mohun Bagan officials’ decision to send the team to a mid-season camping surprised a lot of supporters. Even former Mohun Bagan players are in a bit shock with the club’s decision. As per the latest reports, Mohun Bagan officials have taken this decision to save the players from supporters’ anger. Mohun Bagan secretary Anjan Mitra told in a statement, “…to keep the focus of the footballers in the right direction, we are going in Durgapur for 5 days.”
Meanwhile, supporters from all over West Bengal are raising their voice against the current Mohun Bagan officials, especially against Anjan Mitra and Debashis Dutta. According to them, these two people are using the glorious club for their own business and profit. Everyday, people are gathering in front of the club premises with banners and placards and asking the AIFF to provide justice to their favourite club.
