Monaco to make a move for Hulk

The big-spending French side Monaco are keen to oust Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea in the race to sign Zenit St Petersburg striker Hulk, according to the striker’s agent.

The 26-year-old Brazilian is being linked with a move to the French side where he can meet with his former Porto team-mate Radamel Falcao, who is reported to have begun negotiations to secure a move to AS Monaco.

Teodoro Fonseca told Le10port: “I know people at Monaco. They have not contacted me, but there has been speculation and the interest is real.”

The addition of Hulk to Monaco would mean a complete reunion of the Porto side that won the Europa League and Portuguese Liga title’s in 2011 as James Rodriguez  and Joao Moutinho have already signed for the French side.

Zenit are believed to ask a fee of around €55 million for Hulk but however, this might not seem to be any issue of concern for Monaco as they look keen to spoil Paris Saint-Germain’s Ligue 1 party.
