AS Monaco and Nantes will battle for three points in the final matchday of the Ligue 1 campaign on Sunday. The hosts are fresh off a routine 2-0 away win over Montpellier last weekend.

Kassoum Ouattara and Youssouf Fofana scored second-half goals to help the Principality outfit leave with all three points.

Nantes, meanwhile, fell to a 2-1 defeat at home to Lille. Jonathan David scored an early quickfire brace to put the visitors two goals ahead. Matthis Albine halved the deficit in the 54th minute.

The loss left the Canaries in 14th spot in the table, having garnered 33 points from as many games. Monaco are second with 64 points to their name.

Monaco vs Nantes Prediction

Monaco do not have anything to play for, having already secured their runners-up spot regardless of the outcome here. Adi Hutter's side have six of their last seven league games and have lost just one of their last 16 (13 wins).

Nantes can also play the game in a relaxed mood as they are safe in the top flight for at least another season. However, they could be looking to end an 11-game winless run in Ligue 1 head-to-head games.

We are tipping the hosts to cruise to a comfortable win with goals at both ends.

Prediction: Monaco 4-1 Nantes
