Monza vs Frosinone prediction, preview, team news and more | Serie A 2023-24
Monza play host to bottom-dwellers Frosinone at the U-Power Stadium in the penultimate round of the 2023-24 Italian Serie A campaign on Sunday. Eusebio Di Francesco’s men are in a heated six-way battle for survival and head into the weekend level on points with 18th-placed Empoli in the final relegation spot.
Monza’s poor late-season form continued last Monday when they fell to a 2-1 defeat against Fiorentina at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.
Raffaele Palladino’s side have now gone seven consecutive games without a win, losing four and claiming three draws since March’s 1-0 defeat at Cagliari.
For all their recent struggles, Monza currently sit 12th in the Serie A table with 45 points from 36 matches, 13 points above the danger zone.
Elsewhere, Frosinone were sent crashing back to earth in their survival battle as they suffered a 5-0 hammering at the hands of Inter Milan last time out.
Before that, Di Francesco’s men snapped their 12-match winless run on April 26 courtesy of a 3-0 victory over rock-bottom Salernitana, one week before playing out a goalless draw with Empoli.
With 32 points from 36 matches, Frosinone are currently 17th in the Serie A table, level on points with Empoli in the relegation zone but could move into 14th place with all three points this weekend.
Monza vs Frosinone Head-To-Head
With four wins from the last seven meetings between the sides, Monza boast a superior record in the history of this fixture. Frosinone’s only victory in that time came in April 2022, when they beat Palladino’s men 4-1 in Serie B, while the spoils have been shared twice.
