Angry Mumbai FC player goes into stands, confronts Bengaluru FC fans; police resort to lathi charge

Bengaluru FC and Mumbai FC played out a 1-1 draw

After Bengaluru FC salvaged a draw against Mumbai FC at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium, midfielder Amoes Do went into the stands to confront Bengaluru FC fans. The crowd were clearly shocked and enraged at the player entering the seating area, which led to a tussle between the fans and the player.

When he came on to the field as a substitute, the former Bengaluru FC player had agitated the crowd by showing them the finger. In retaliation to that, the crowd abused the player.

After the match, Amoes entered the ultras section of the crowd, the area where he was getting most abuse from and got into a confrontation with the fans. Police had to get involved as matters heated up between the two parties.

However, the police resorted to lathi charge to avoid worsening of the situation and in the midst of it all, a few fans suffered injuries while the player walked away.

The Bengaluru FC CEO gave assurances that appropriate action will be taken.
