Nacer Chadli joins AS Monaco from West Bromwich Albion

Nacer Chadli has joined Ligue 1 side Monaco from West Bromwich Albion for a reported fee of £10 million. He penned a three-year contract with the French giants after completing his medical on Thursday.

The heart of the matter
The 29-year-old joined the Baggies in 2016 but only laboured 37 appearances for them due to repeated thigh injuries. He only managed four league appearances last term. Now that they failed to maintain their top-flight status, a move for him after a fine World Cup was surely on the cards.
"I am very happy to join AS Monaco, a great French club that participates in the Champions League," he told the official club website.
"The results of the last seasons prove the quality of the project and the ambition of the club. I will do everything to help AS Monaco achieve great things and achieve its goals."
West Brom coach Darren Moore on the other hand, will be looking to add to his squad with the funds received from this transfer, before Friday's loan transfer deadline. Reports suggest that the Championship side are chasing Blackburn Rovers midfielder, Bradley Dack.
