Napoli won't be able to afford Martin Skrtel: Skrtel's agent
Martin Skrtel‘s agent has expressed doubts regarding a possible move to Napoli as he believes that the Italian side will not be able to afford the player.
Karol Csonto has confirmed that he is ready to enter into talks with Liverpool concerning the future of the player, who had made it clear that he was quite frustrated ever since he lost his place in the first-team towards the end of the previous campaign.
Rafa Benitez, who took the initiative to rope in the player from Zenit St Petersburg in January 2008, is now hoping to bring the player to his new club Napoli; but according to the player’s agent, the club will not be able to line up the sufficient amount required to seal the deal.
“Martin to move away from Liverpool? I specifically say that Skrtel has never said he wants to go away, then it depends on the Liverpool market because everything could change,” he told Tuttomercatoweb.
“It’s true that the last two seasons were difficult but in football it can happen.”
“Napoli? I think they haven’t the financial possibilities to take him. Liverpool has not decided a price because they don’t intend to sell the player. Anyway, I don’t think that Napoli can afford his wage.”
