The Netherlands and Turkiye will conclude the UEFA Euro 2024 quarterfinal ties when they square off at the Olympiastadion on Saturday. Netherlands booked their spot in the last eight with a comfortable 3-0 thrashing of Romania in the round of 16.

They went ahead through Cody Gakpo's 20th-minute strike while Donyell Malen stepped off the bench to make sure of the result with a late second-half brace.

Turkiye, meanwhile, saw off Austria with a hard-fought 2-1 victory. An exciting start to the game saw Merih Demiral break the deadlock from a corner kick 57 seconds into the game - the quickest goal in Euro knockout history. The Al Ahli defender completed his first international brace just before the hour-mark again from another corner kick. Halftime substitute Michael Gregoritsch made it a trio of goals from corner kicks when he halved the deficit midway through the second half.

The Crescent-Stars held off a late onslaught from Austria, including a point-blank save by Mert Gunok from the last kick of the game to progress to the quarterfinal.

Turkiye will have to do without the services of Orkun Kokcu and Ismail Yuksek, who are both suspended due to accumulated yellow cards. Ronald Koeman will make do without Bayern Munich defender Matthijs de Ligt, who is ruled out with an illness.

England or Switzerland await the winner of this tie in the semifinal.
