"20 years and the wait goes on", "Most wins in the league and no trophy" - Rival fans troll Arsenal as Man City win the PL

Fans on X have trolled Arsenal after Manchester City secured their fourth Premier League title in a row following their 3-1 win against West Ham United. Despite beating Everton 2-1 at the Emirates on Sunday, May 19, the Gunners were unable to win their first title in 21 years.

Mikel Arteta and Co. knew they had to defeat Everton and hope Manchester City drop points to be crowned champions. However, they got off to a poor start when Everton broke the deadlock in the 40th minute. Idrissa Gueye whipped in a free-kick, which hit Declan Rice's head, flying into the opposite top corner.

Fortunately, Takehiro Tomiyasu leveled the scores three minutes later, finding the bottom corner from Martin Odegaard's cross. Arsenal continued to apply pressure in the second half in their search for a winner, with Emile Smith-Rowe striking the post in the 83rd minute.

Just when it seemed as if the Gunners would drop points, Ashley Young's pass was intercepted by Gabriel Jesus. The Brazilian striker played in Odegaard, who slipped the ball to Kai Havertz - who tapped home into an empty net to seal a 2-1 win.

Despite their best efforts, Manchester City continued their dominant run by dispatching West Ham 3-1. Phil Foden scored a brilliant brace and Rodri also got on the scoresheet to ensure the Cityzens won the league.
