21-year-old star has rejected chance to join Real Madrid despite offer from LaLiga giants: Reports
Croatia international Martin Baturina has reportedly turned down an opportunity to play alongside Luka Modric at Real Madrid despite receiving an offer from the Spanish giants. The 21-year-old attacking midfielder is regarded as one of the finest of his generation in Croatia and has been heavily linked with a move away from Dinamo Zagreb.
The Croatian talent pool has thrown up several top talents in recent years, including the likes of Josko Gvardiol and Luka Vuskovic, and Baturina is the latest to emerge. Baturina has already made seven appearances for Croatia's senior national team, including one at Euro 2024.
According to Sky Sports Deutschland, Real Madrid offered Baturina a four-year deal with the club, which would see him move to Madrid after spending a year on loan at a LaLiga club. The youngster refused the offer, instead preferring to move to the German Bundesliga as the next step in his career.
Martin Baturina has been in fine form for Dinamo Zagreb this season, with two goals and seven assists in 15 appearances across all competitions. The youngster has already featured 135 times for Dinamo since making his professional debut for the club.
Baturina's talent has not gone unnoticed across Europe, with Premier League side Manchester United also reportedly interested in his signature.
Real Madrid youngster linked with Premier League switch - Reports
Real Madrid midfielder Arda Guler has been linked with a temporary switch to Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur, as per Fichajes.net. The teenage sensation has struggled for game-time at the Santiago Bernabeu, leading other clubs to show an interest in him.
Guler has had to be patient since joining Real Madrid from Fenerbahce in 2023, with injuries delaying his debut until January 2024. The 19-year-old Turkiye international is a target for a number of sides as he considers leaving the club temporarily.
Carlo Ancelotti rates Guler very highly but has been unable to offer the youngster as many minutes as he would like at the club. As a result, Los Blancos would be interested in sending the talented midfielder out on a temporary basis to expose him to high-level football in England.
