3 Chelsea players told to train with U21 side - Reports
Chelsea have reportedly asked Trevoh Chalobah, Armando Broja and Romelu Lukaku to train with the u-21 side. According to Matt Law of the Daily Telegraph, the trio are expected to find moves elsewhere.
An exit is looming for Chalobah, who was left out of the Blues' pre-season tour of the US. He was impressive for the London side last season, especially towards the end of the campaign as they surged up the table to finish sixth.
However, he has been shunned from new manager Enzo Maresca's first team, with the likes of Levi Colwill, Wesley Fofana and Benoit Badiashile placed over him. A report from Fabrizio Romano claimed that the 25-year-old has garnered interest from Crystal Palace.
Broja looks certain to exit the club as well. The Albanian had a difficult 2023-24, scoring just two goals in the first half with Chelsea. He was sent on loan to Fulham in the winter, where he saw just 80 minutes of action. With the Blues signing Marc Guiu and Samu Omorodion as options up top, the 22-year-old has been shown the door.
Finally, Romelu Lukaku has also been linked with a move away extensively. The Belgian is highly appreciated by Antonio Conte at Napoli, who are keen on signing him. However, their move is contingent on the departure of Victor Osimhen, with the Blues themselves interested in loaning the Nigerian frontman. It remains to be seen how this transfer saga will unfold as the Premier League season draws close.
Juventus begin negotiations to sign Chelsea attacker: Reports
Juventus have expressed an interest in signing Chelsea attacker Raheem Sterling. According to reporter Gianluca di Marzio, the Bianconeri are looking to add two wingers this window and the 29-year-old has emerged as a target.
It has been a busy summer for the Italian side. They have already brought in Aston Villa's Douglas Luiz and Nice's Khephren Thuram, and have also been linked with Atalanta's Teun Koopmeiners. New manager Thiago Motta has made the future of many players including the likes of Federico Chiesa and Weston McKinnie clear, asking them to leave as they look to rebuild the squad.
Sterling had a decent campaign for Chelsea last year, collecting 10 goals and eight assists. However, with the influx of new signings like Pedro Neto and Estevao Willian, he could find a reduction in game time and a move to Italy could be the best for all parties involved.
