"A good kind of pressure" - Euro 2024 star responds to reported transfer interest from Chelsea and Arsenal

In-demand Euro 2024 star Benjamin Sesko has responded to interest in his services from Chelsea and Arsenal. The Slovenia international has admitted that he relishes the pressure of being linked to some of the biggest clubs in Europe.

Sesko is regarded as one of the brightest young prospects in world football, following his exploits for Red Bull Salzburg and RB Leipzig. Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United have all been linked with the 21-year-old's signature.

Sesko, currently on international duty with Slovenia in Euro 2024, has admitted that he is enjoying himself as big clubs continue to show interest in his services. Sesko said, as quoted by Metro:

"To be honest, with the pressure, I put it on the bright side. It’s a good kind of pressure. If you have the opportunity where people can talk about you, doesn’t matter if it’s good or bad, there’s something about you and it means I have done something good in the past and people are talking about it. I always put it on the bright side and I am happy to be a part of this."

The RB Leipzig attacker also admitted that he is proud to represent his country in the Euros. Sesko added:

"It’s definitely a good chance for me to play in this type of tournament. I’m really proud of myself to be a part of the team and be here and for the experience and the self-growth. It’s really important for me and for my career in general. It’s been an amazing time and I’m looking forward to more of this."

Sesko enjoyed a solid season in RB Leipzig colors last time out, having scored 18 goals and provided two assists in 42 appearances across competitions. The Chelsea and Arsenal target is yet to find the back of the net in the Euros, although his side have earned draws against Denmark and Serbia.

Chelsea legend heaps praise on Arsenal star's performance in the Euros

Chelsea legend Frank Lampard has lauded Arsenal star Kai Havertz for his performance for Germany in the Euros. The former England midfielder claimed that Havertz has finally found his best position for both club and country.

Lampard singled out the 25-year-old for his selflessness and ability to stretch the game with his movement. The former Chelsea midfielder said, as quoted by BBC One:

“He is such an interesting player Kai. He was searching for his best role all that point and growing into the nine, false nine. But he has this ability, he has fluid movement Kai, he likes to stretch the game. He is so important as he’s prepared to make that run. Some of that is selfless, sometimes you won’t see him get it but he consistently makes that run. Technically he’s very good.”

Havertz has been excellent for Germany in Euro 2024 so far scoring once and creating another in their 5-1 win against Scotland. The Arsenal star did not have a goal contribution against Hungary but played a big role as Germany defeated the Hungarians 2-0.
