“A lot of talk” - Barcelona starlet appears to take dig at France star for pre-match comments about Spain's Lamine Yamal

Barcelona starlet Hector Fort has taken a cheeky shot at France's Adrien Rabiot for his comments on Lamine Yamal ahead of the Euro 2024 semifinal. Fort said that the France star was all talk as he congratulated Yamal on silencing his opponent.

Taking on Instagram, Fort shared a story for Yamal and captioned it:

"It was for the person who it was for. They will know it was for them."

Yamal also commented about his comment but added that he was more focused on getting his side back in the game. He was delighted to make it to the final in his first Euros and said:

"When I scored the goal I tried to think about the team, which is the most important thing, and not give importance to external things. I always say that destiny puts everyone in their place, and I am very happy about the goal and about making it to the final."

While he didn't say much to the media, Yamal was seen shouting 'Speak Now' to the camera right after the match. He scored a brilliant equaliser in the 2-1 win over France in the semis on Tuesday (July 9).

What did Adrien Rabiot say about Lamine Yamal?

Adrien Rabiot had said that Lamine Yamal is a player full of qualities but questioned if the youngster could handle the pressure of a Euro 2024 semi-final. Rabiot added that Yamal was bound to understand that club football is different to international games and said:

"We saw that he was a player who knew how to handle pressure very well. He has a lot of qualities. He is capable of playing with his qualities at club level as well as in major tournaments, without pressure."
"Afterwards, it is always complicated to manage a semifinal in a tournament like that, but it will be up to us to put the pressure on him above all, not to let him feel comfortable and to show him that to play in a Euro final, he will have to do much more than what he has done so far."

Lamine Yamal and Adrien Rabiot could end up becoming teammates this summer, as Barcelona are linked with the Frenchman.
