"About time" "Glad this chapter is over" - Manchester United fans react as forward player completes permanent move to Ligue 1 club
Manchester United fans have reacted to Mason Greenwood completing a permanent move to Ligue 1 club Olympique de Marseille. The English forward's future with the Red Devils has been up in the year since he was first arrested on suspicion of raping and assaulting a female. He was later charged with suspicion of sexual assault and making death threats.
After all charges against him were dropped in February 2023, Greenwood was loaned out to Getafe by the Red Devils for the 2023–24 season. He registered 10 goals and six assists in 36 appearances across competitions for the La Liga outfit.
Fans took to social media and flooded with posts expressing their opinions on Mason Greenwood's departure from Old Trafford. While some fans bid farewell to the 22-year-old, some were relieved about the transfer.
