"Absolutely garbage in big games" - Fans slam Al-Nassr duo as Cristiano Ronaldo's team lose Super Cup final
Al-Nassr lost the Saudi Super Cup final against arch-rivals Al-Hilal on August 17 despite Cristiano Ronaldo's first-half goal to take them in front. The Al-Nassr defense completely fell apart as Al-Hilal not only equalized but scored three additional goals to end the game with a score of 4-1.
Fans have criticized the tactics of manager Luis Castro and have also voiced their opinion on the mindset of the team. Furthermore, they were extremely critical of the attacking duo of Sadio Mane and Anderson Talisca. Both players were ineffective in the Saudi Super Cup final and were wasteful in front of the goal. Some of the comments about them on X (formerly Twitter) are as follows:
"Where are the people who praised mane and Talisca for being actually good? They are absolutely garbage in big games they always stinking," slammed one fan on X.
"I don’t care who replaces Talisca and Mane. I need them shipped out asap," agreed another.
"Talisca isn't better than Khaibari let's be real. Mane should retire at this point," opined one fan.
Fans were also critical of other players like Alex Telles, Aymeric Laporte, and manager Luis Castro.
"Sack Castro and Kick the a** of Talisca and Mane from the club," opined one fan on X.
"Telles , Laporte, Talisca, mane and Castro all need to be shipped after the game," another added.
"Talisca nd mane are not good anymore but they cant get rid of them. They dont even attract good players because they spurs of saudi," opined someone on X.

Last season, Sadio Mane scored just 19 goals and provided 11 assists in 46 games across competitions for Al-Nassr. Meanwhile, Talisca scored a-goal-a-game for 25 games and recorded four assists.

Earlier this year, Al-Nassr's superstars Cristiano Ronaldo, Anderson Talisca, and Sadio Mane lost comfortably against a 20-year-old in a shooting challenge at the clu'bs training grounds. Days before the AFC Champions League Round of 16 clashes, the players were filmed participating in the challenge.
Featuring Otavio, Anderson Talisca, Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mane, and the 20-year-old Mashari Al-Nemer, the challenge involved beating the goalkeeper with outside-the-box shots. Each player was supposed to get two attempts at goal.
While the others could only score once from their two attempts, Mashari Al-Nemer managed to convert both his shots to emerge as the winner of the challenge. The youngster has mostly been a substitute for the canary yellow outfit. He has recorded two goals and a solitary assist in 16 games in his senior club career so far.
Al-Nassr will face Al-Raed in their first Saudi Pro League clash on August 22 at the Al-Awwal Stadium.
