"All of Ronaldo’s ego and zero of his talent", "He needs benching" - Manchester United fans unhappy with star after Chelsea draw
Manchester United fans on X have blasted Alejandro Garnacho for being wasteful in front of goal during their 1-1 draw against Chelsea. The two sides faced each other in the Premier League at Old Trafford on Sunday, November 3.
Both teams had some big opportunities to break the deadlock in the first half, with Noni Madueke and Marcus Rashford striking the woodwork. However, the game changed in the 68th minute when Robert Sanchez brought Rasmus Hojlund down inside the box, conceding a penalty.
Bruno Fernandes stepped up and coolly converted two minutes later to score his first Premier League goal of the season. Unfortunately for the Old Trafford faithful, their lead didn't last long as Moises Caicedo scored a brilliant goal four minutes later to seal a valuable away point for Chelsea.
Garnacho played all 90 minutes, starting on the right wing, before moving to the left in the second half. However, the Argentine created zero chances, landed two shots on target from four attempts - missing one big chance in the process, and lost eight duels. His work-rate off the ball was also quite poor, as he caught an earful from Casemiro in the second half for failing to track back after losing possession.
One Manchester United fan believes Garnacho has Cristiano Ronaldo's ego without any of his talent as they posted:
"Fakin partot with all of Ronaldo’s ego and zero of his talent. Garnacho is pure trash."
Another fan tweeted:
"Garnacho is so wasteful man. He needs benching I'm sorry he's just killed so many attacks."
Other fans reacted below:
"Garnacho man! Posing in front of the cameras day after his manager got sacked. Players like him need to be managed by Amorim. Starting positions are not a given at this club. Players need to be held accountable," one fan commented
"Garnacho is deadass one of the worst wingers I’ve ever seen play for United," another added
"Garnacho’s goldfish attitude is tremendous but he really needs to pipe down on the tunnel vision. There are options around you, my guy. Find them, every now and then," one fan insisted
"The selfish Boy thinks the whole Manchester United Revolves Around Him," another chimed in
"Does Garnacho even know he’s been the WORST player on the pitch?" one fan questioned
