“Always on my team!” - Real Madrid legend Sergio Ramos shares farewell message for Nacho 

Real Madrid legend Sergio Ramos shared a message on his Instagram story for Nacho Fernandez on Tuesday, June 25. The latter will be leaving the club after 23 years this summer and moving to Saudi Arabia.

Nacho joined Los Blancos at the age of 10 and has been with them ever since. He came through their ranks and made 364 senior appearances and also contributed 16 goals and 10 assists. He is also the club's joint-most decorated player alongside Luka Modric with 26 trophies.

Real Madrid announced on Tuesday that the defender will end his career at the club and leave as a free agent. After the announcement, club legend Sergio Ramos posted a picture of himself with the 34-year-old on his Instagram story with the caption:

"Dear Nacho, you are leaving, but you will always be a part of @realmadrid. history. Congratulations on a brilliant run. It was a pleasure to share the dressing room for so many years and live together so many successes and unrepeatable moments.
"Also happy to see you as captain raise the ear. A huge hug, brother. Always on my team!"

The duo shared the pitch 121 times for Real Madrid and Spain before the latter left Los Blancos in 2021. They won four UEFA Champions League trophies, among other honors.


Cristiano Ronaldo leaves a message for Nacho after the latter's Real Madrid exit

Announcing his exit from Los Blancos, the defender put up an Instagram post on Tuesday. In his statement, he reminisced about his time at Real Madrid, expressed his love and passion for the club, and thanked the fans and everyone else involved.

Club legend Cristiano Ronaldo commented on the Spaniard's post:

"You are one of the heroes of Real Madrid's great history. Be proud of what you achieved, Nacho!"

The duo shared the pitch 117 times for Los Blancos and also combined for one goal.

Ronaldo became the club's all-time top goalscorer with 450 goals in 438 games before leaving in 2021 for Juventus. He currently plies his trade for Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League, where Nacho is set to arrive, as per transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

The Spaniard will join Al-Qadsiah, who only got promoted back to the Saudi Arabian top flight this season. As per Romano, the medical is already completed and an announcement should be made soon.
