"An example for us all": Al-Nassr women's team star Kathellen Sousa hails Cristiano Ronaldo after making switch from Real Madrid
After recently switching from Real Madrid to Al-Nassr, Kathellen Sousa met and showered praise on Cristiano Ronaldo. The Brazilian played as a centre-back in the Spanish capital, raking in 44 appearances before completing her move to Saudi Arabia.
Sousa previously featured for teams across Europe, including Inter Milan and Bourdoux, since coming across the Atlantic from American outfit UCF Knights. She has represented her country 31 times, scoring once for the South American giants.
Following her transfer to Al-Nassr, she took to Instagram to gush over meeting football legend Cristiano Ronaldo, as she wrote:
"I cried knowing the man. Cristiano is the definition of what it is to be an athlete, an example for all of us. I have great admiration for him! Thanks for the attention and care. (He even gave me a tissue to wipe tears lol)."
Ronaldo has been a fabulous signing for the Arabian side and a legitimizing factor for Asian football since his arrival in 2022. The icon has inspired several talented footballers to move to the Near East. The Real Madrid legend has also continued to find the back of the net regularly, bagging 58 goals and 15 assists in 64 games for Al-Nassr over two seasons.
