"Ancelotti is a joke", "Will put a worldie display" - Fans provide mixed reaction to Real Madrid star's inclusion in XI for Getafe clash
Fans on social media share mixed opinions on Dani Ceballos' inclusion in Real Madrid's starting XI against Getafe. The La Liga clash is slated for Sunday, December 1, at Santiago Bernabéu.
Dani Ceballos sustained an ankle injury in September which led him to miss eight games for Real Madrid. He has featured in eight matches, starting in only two of them so far, and is yet to make a goal contribution for the Spanish club in this ongoing campaign.
Fans took to social media and flooded with posts opining on head coach Carlo Ancelotti's decision to include Dani Ceballos in Real Madrid's starting line-up against Getafe. While some fans were excited to see the 28-year-old midfielder starting, some believed Arda Güler would have been a better fit for the position. Here are some of the reactions from X:
One fan wrote:
"Ceballos starts but Arda is benched. Ancelotti is a joke.😂😂😂"
Another added:
"No Arda. I know Ceballos will put a worldie display fosho"

Dani Ceballos joined Real Madrid from his boyhood club Real Betis in 2017. The Spaniard has registered seven goals and 14 assists in 155 appearances across competitions for Los Blancos so far in his ongoing seven-year tenure at Santiago Bernabéu. His contract with the club is valid until the summer of 2027.
Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti on Kylian Mbappe's form
Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti shared his thoughts on Kylian Mbappe's current form and its impact on the team. The French national team captain signed a five-year contract with Los Blancos in July.
The 25-year-old has been receiving criticism for currently not being at his best for the La Liga giants. The Italian manager, however, explained how the star forward as well as the rest of the squad is trying to improve. Ancelotti said (via TribalFootball):
"His problem is everyone's problem. We must try to get the best out of ourselves: his, mine and that of other players. The problem is not with one player, but with a team that has not been able to have continuity or get the best out of itself. Our idea is to improve and do everything possible to achieve that. Mbappé's idea is the same as everyone else's."
"It's not an individual problem for a player who is new, who is adapting, has scored goals and has participated in the attacking play with assists. He can do better, like all of us. He is aware that he has to do better and he will try, like everyone else," added the former AC Milan coach.
Kylian Mbappe has netted nine goals and provided two assists in 18 appearances across competitions for Real Madrid so far this season.
