Fans were elated as Real Madrid beat Real Sociedad 1-0 in La Liga on Friday, April 26 at Reale Arena. Nineteen-year-old midfielder Arda Guler netted the only goal of the match for the away side in the 29th minute.

Los Blancos are top of the table with 84 points from 33 matches, 14 points ahead of second-placed Barcelona.

Madrid fans flooded social media with posts appreciating the young Turkish talent and celebrating the win, which has all but secured the La Liga title. Here is a selection of their posts on X (formerly Twitter):

"Arda Guler is a special player," a fan said.
"The title is almost ours!" another chimed in.

One fan wrote:

"3 Points + Core Players Well Rested To Smoke Bayern! HUGE W!"

Another added:

"Arder Guler has won the most difficult 3 points for Madrid."
"What a boring game…if not for Guler," another fan said.

One user wrote:

"Arda Guler with an incredible performance. The talent is very clear. He has barely played this season, but one thing to note, he looks a lot stronger physically. He was impressive in every area of the pitch, including defensively. 116 minutes, two goals. This is just the start."
"Unbelievable last 3 games. Win at the etihad, win in the classico, win against Soceidad in their home. Carlo and the players have done an insane job and regardless of what happens in the CL I'm very pleased with this season," said another.

One account wrote:

"Hala Madrid we are winning the laliga."

While another wrote in reference to Guler:

"GOLDEN BOY."

Arda Guler joined Real Madrid in 2023 from Turkish club Fenerbahce and has scored two goals in six league appearances this season.
