Arsenal and Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing FC Nordsjaelland youngster Mario Dorgeles, who has been likened to John Obi Mikel. The young Ivory Coast international has been tipped for a big future after impressing in the Danish top flight.
Dorgeles left Ghana in 2022 aged 18 to sign with FC Nordsjaelland via their partnership with the Right to Dream Academy, and he has not looked back since. Mario Dorgeles has been likened to former Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel for his ability to win the ball back, and it's no surprise to see him linked with a move to Stamford Bridge. Chelsea are actively looking to sign some of the best young players available, hence their interest in Dorgeles. They envision a similar path to the one toed by Mikel, who joined them from Norwegian outfit Lyn Oslo as a youngster before making 372 appearances across competitions.
Arsenal are in the market for young midfield talent as Thomas Partey and Jorginho may leave the club once the season ends.
Mario Dorgeles is not just attracting interest from Chelsea and Arsenal, with several other sides keen on the youngster. Benfica, Newcastle United, Bayer Leverkusen, Sporting Lisbon, and Olympique Marseille are also said to be keeping tabs on him.
