He player a key part in Turkey's march to the Euro 2024 quaarter-finals. The report adds that the Gunners, as well as Newcastle United and Napoli, scouted the player at the tournament.

Arsenal are willing to offload Jakub Kiwior this summer, according to acclaimed traansfer guru Fabrzio Romano. The Polish defender was a key figure for the Gunners in the 2023-24 campaign, registering 30 appearances across competitions.

Arteta opted to use a centre-back in the left-back role last season, and Kiwior excelled in the position. However, with the manager close to securing a deal for Riccardo Calafiori, Kiwior's future is up in the air.

The Italian defender is comfortable at left-back and could be an upgrade on Kiwior. As such, the north London side are looking to offload the Pole this summer. They would ideally like to offload him permanently but are open to a loan deal with an obligation to buy.

Nuno Tavares is keen to fight for his place in Arteta's squad next season. The Portuguese left-back is a forgotten man and spent the 2023-24 campaign on loan at Nottingham Forest.

Tavares failed to strike a chord at the City Ground, registering just 12 appearances across competitions. Forest opted against exercising the option to keep him permanently. His future remains up in the air, with Arteta eyeing reinforcements for the left-back position.

Speaking to Record, the 24-year-old insisted that he's ready to give his best in pre-season to convince the Gunners.

“Yes, obviously, I have in mind to return to Arsenal and have a good pre-season. Regardless of what happens in the future, I will always do my best, as I have done in all pre-seasons, to have a place at the club,” said Tavares.

He continued:

“I always try to do my work in the best way. Then it’s up to the club to decide whether I’m a valid option or not.
"But I have a strong mentality. I know what I’m capable of. Sometimes things don’t depend on us, but my job is to focus on myself and do what I do best.”

Tavares is under contract at the Emirates till 2025 but has been linked with a move to Ajax and Lazio.
