Barcelona draw up 3-man shortlist as potential Robert Lewandowski replacement: Reports

Hansi Flick's Barcelona have reportedly shortlisted Jonathan David, Viktor Gyokeres, and Erling Haaland as Robert Lewandowski's potential replacement, as per Diario AS.

The Polish attacker has been in stellar form for La Blaugrana under Hansi Flick. Lewandowski has made 20 appearances for Barcelona this season, bagging 22 goals and two assists across all competitions. Lewandowski is the top scorer in LaLiga as well as the UEFA Champions League with 15 and seven goals, respectively.

The Pole's current contract with La Blaugrana will end in the summer of 2026 and the club also has a one-year extension clause. However, Barcelona have started shortlisting candidates who can be Robert Lewandowski's long-term replacement.

As per the aforementioned report, Barca's sporting director Deco aims to bring one of the three aforementioned shortlisted candidates to Camp Nou. Jonathan David's contract with LOSC Lille will expire next summer and he has also shown his desire to play for the LaLiga giants. However, Barca are yet to initiate conversations with the Canadian forward.

Meanwhile, Viktor Gyokeres is on the transfer radar of multiple top European clubs. The Swedish attacker's contract with Sporting CP will expire in the summer of 2028 and he reportedly has a release of €100, which can be a concerning factor for Hansi Flick's side.

Manchester City superstar Erling Haaland is also on Barcelona's transfer radar but the deal is highly unlikely to materialize. He has more than two years remaining on his contract with City and his release clause is estimated to be around €180 million.
