Fans online slammed Ruben Amorim's Manchester United despite their 2-1 victory over Viktoria Plzen in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday, December 12. The Red Devils snapped their two-match losing streak with a comeback win at the Doosan Arena.
Goalkeeper Andre Onana's wayward pass in the 48th minute allowed the hosts to take the lead as Czech forward Matej Vydra fired the ball into an empty net. Onana also had a passing accuracy of a measly 74% (26/35).
Despite dominating possession (68%), Manchester United missed several chances in attack and lacked defensive coordination. They also underperformed on their xG, scoring two goals from an xG of 2.73.

Fans on X slammed the Red Devils for their performance against Viktoria Plzen.
"Can we sell the full team?" a fan wrote on X.
"Prime Onana is back!!" quipped another.
"Even tho we won this game but our players are very very bad! Apart from Mazraoui and Amad, all the other players are ass and won’t play for any better team. Bruno Fernandes who I always believe in him too is now becoming average. Just see the chances we missed. Our attackers are shit!!" explained a netizen.
"How can United fans keep defending this team??" questioned a fan on X.
Talking about Andre Onana, a fan wrote:
"Funniest goalkeeper oat, he uses 3 months to build up his rep just to throw it away again in two games lmao"
"Very useless guy. Makes it so hard to like or defend him," another fan chimed in.
One user, however, lavished praise on Rasmus Hojlund, adding:
"Højlund I love you. Trust in him please."
"I don’t think we can play rash and hojlund in this system together. And at the moment, I’m picking Rasmus to lead our line long term," opined another on X.
Super-sub Rasmus Hojlund saves the game for Manchester United
Substitute Rasmus Hojlund was the saving grace for Manchester United on Thursday night. He replaced Marcus Rashford in the 56th minute and scored a brace to secure the win for the visitors. The equalizer came in the 62nd minute after the Danish striker pounced on Amad Diallo's rebounded shot to score for United.
Bruno Fernandes combined with Hojlund to create Manchester United's second goal in the dying minutes (88'). His cheeky free-kick was expertly finished by the Danish forward to secure the win for Amorim's side.
Hojlund now has five goals and one assist in six games in the UEFA Europa League this season. The Danish star joined the Red Devils from Atalanta BC last year for a reported price of €73.90 million (via Transfermarkt). In 59 games across two seasons, he has scored 21 goals and created three more for Manchester United.
