"Can't even create a proper chance", "The worst player on the pitch" - Fans slam Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr teammate despite win over Al-Riyadh
Al-Nassr fans have criticized Cristiano Ronaldo's teammate Anderson Talisca after he struggled to make an impact in their 1-0 win against Al-Riyadh. The two sides faced each other in a derby match in the Saudi Pro League at the Prince Faisal bin Fahd Stadium on Friday, November 8.
The Knights of Najd were the more dominant side in the first half with Cristiano Ronaldo and Talisca being denied by the opposition keeper on multiple occasions. However, Sadio Mane wasn't to be stopped in the 41st minute when he found the top-right corner with an excellent strike.
However, Al-Nassr struggled to get going after the break. Their biggest chance to extend their lead arrived in the 88th minute when Mane delivered a perfect cross into the path of Talisca. Despite having an open goal from close range, the Brazilian fired the ball over the bar, wasting a golden chance. He also failed to create any chances during the game before picking up an injury in stoppage time.
Fans on X (formerly Twitter) were left fuming by Talisca's miss as one posted:
"Talisca running the injured gimmick after being the worst player on the pitch"
Another fan blasted him for his lack of creativity:
"Unfortunately Talisca can't even create a proper chance. He has only 8 league assists in how many seasons. Ronaldo surpassed that in a season only to become one of Al Nassr's worst players under Pioli."
Other Al-Nassr fans reacted below:
"Hope thy is selfish guy stay far away from starting XI," one fan commented
"As usual, played a few games, scored a few goals, prevented Ronaldo from scoring and got injured," another added
"Talisca is ultimate trash player, dude is not a pro football player," one fan insisted
"The club will never win a trophy with this bum in," another chimed in
