Chelsea star Nicolas Jackson explains when he’ll do Cristiano Ronaldo’s iconic Siuuuu celebration again

Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson copied Cristiano Ronaldo's iconic 'siu' celebration last season after scoring against Tottenham Hotspur. However, the forward has not been seen repeating the same celebration since.

Jackson recently explained the situation by saying that he will do it again only when he scores his next hat-trick. The Chelsea forward's only hat-trick for the Blues came in that same game against Spurs at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium.

Jackson said (via Fabrizio Romano):

"When I score hat-tricks, I’ll do the siuuu celebration again!"

Chelsea went on to win that game against Tottenham 4-1, who were reduced to nine men 10 minutes into the second half. Jackson scored thrice in the last quarter of the game to hand the Blues a big win against their London rivals.

The Senegalese striker has come under criticism for missing several big chances since his switch to Stamford Bridge. However, he has bagged an impressive 19 goals and seven assists in 49 games despite his short-comings in front of goal.

With the Blues failing to add a new out-and-out number nine this season, Jackson continues to start up-front in the Premier League for Chelsea. He most recently scored for the Blues against Crystal Palace at home in a 1-1 draw before the last international break.

Nicolas Jackson extends his Chelsea contract by two years

Chelsea signed Jackson in 2023 from Villareal for a reported fee of £32 million. He was handed an eight-year deal by the Blues, which has now been extended by another two years.

Speaking after signing his extension, Jackson said (via Sportstar):

“I’m feeling very good, and I’m very happy to sign a new contract and stay at the club. It feels great the club has confidence in me. I’m working very hard. I’m very happy to extend my contract and stay here for many years.”

New head coach Enzo Maresca has also shown his approval of the striker. Reacting to the news of the contract extension, the former Leicester City manager said (via the official Chelsea website):

"I’m very happy because I think he’s doing very well. Since I joined the club he is working hard on the ball and off the ball."

He added:

"This kind of player, I have said already many times, he’s always going to score goals. And with us in the first three Premier League games he has already given an assist and scored some goals."

Chelsea most recently came away with a 1-0 win against Bournemouth in a game that saw 14 yellow cards being dished out. The Blues will be in action next on Saturday, September 21 against West Ham United.
