Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson drops massive Victor Osimhen transfer hint on Instagram
Chelsea star Nicolas Jackson has hinted that his team's reported interest in Napoli superstar Victor Osimhen is true, liking a post on social media bearing news about the same.
On Tuesday (July 30), The Athletic journalist David Ornstein claimed that the Blues are currently in talks with Napoli over a possible loan arrival of Osimhen. The west London outfit are interested in including an option to buy in the deal to secure their target's signature.
Hours later, Jackson liked 433's post about the report on Instagram.
Should Osimhen secure a temporary move to Chelsea, he would pop up as a vital first-team starter for them. He would likely push Jackson further down the pecking order owing to his world-class reputation.
Osimhen, who has reportedly been linked with the likes of Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in the past, is believed to be keen to leave Napoli. He recorded 17 goals and four assists in 32 appearances, including 27 starts, across competitions past campaign.
Jackson, meanwhile, also found the back of the opposition net 17 times past term. However, the 23-year-old Senegalese attacker made 44 appearances for Chelsea last season. He also laid out six assists.
Overall, Osimhen has registered 76 goals and 18 assists in 133 outings for Napoli since arriving in a £68 million deal from LOSC Lille in 2020.
On the other hand, Chelsea are reportedly in ongoing discussions with Napoli over a possible move for Romelu Lukaku. Should the Belgian seal a permanent transfer away from the Stamford Bridge outfit, he would be reunited with former Inter Milan boss Antonio Conte.

Speaking to BBC, Chelsea summer arrival Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall backed his new team to perform well under new manager Enzo Maresca. He said (h/t We Ain't Got No History):
"I genuinely think in a short space of time we can be pushing for minimum top four... but more than that. He may be unknown for a lot of people, but he is top, top level. He will surprise a lot of people."
Maresca, who was previously Manchester City's assistant manager, relished a fine debut campaign at Leicester City in the 2023-24 term. He helped them win the EFL Championship trophy, registering 36 victories and 13 defeats in 53 overall matches along the way.
The Blues will start their 2024-25 season in a Premier League home clash against Manchester City at Stamford Bridge on August 18.
