Chelsea are expected to continue their spending spree till the end of this summer. The Blues have already invested heavily in the squad as they look to get back to their best under Enzo Maresca.

Meanwhile, the London giants have agreed a move to take a Wolverhampton Wanderers forward to Stamford Bridge this summer. Elsewhere, Juventus are interested in Raheem Sterling.

On that note, let's look at the major Chelsea transfer stories from August 10, 2024.

Chelsea agree move for Pedro Neto

Chelsea have agreed a deal to sign Pedro Neto this summer, according to acclaimed journalist Fabrizio Romano. The Blues are looking to improve their attack after an underwhelming 2023/24 campaign.

The likes of Noni Madueke and Mykhailo Mudryk have struggled to impress, forcing the club to consider their options this year. Neto has popped up on their radar after an impressive showing with Wolverhampton Wanderers last season.

The 24-year-old registered three goals and 11 assists from 24 games across competitions. The Portuguese winger's efforts have pleased the London giants, who have decided to break the bank for his signature.

Chelsea have submitted a €60m offer for Neto, with a further €3m in add-ons, which has been accepted by the Midlands club. He has already agreed personal terms with the Blues and will travel for his medical soon.

Juventus eyeing Raheem Sterling

Juventus have set their sights on Raheem Sterling, according to Calciomercato. The English forward has been underwhelming since joining Chelsea from Manchester City a couple of summers ago.

Sterling registered ten goals and eight assists from 43 games across competitions last season. However, his future at Stamford Bridge remains up in the air following the arrival of Enzo Maresca. There are doubts whether the player would fit into the Italian manager's tactics.

The impending arrival of Pedro Neto has only added fuel to speculation regarding his next move. The Bianconeri are attentive to Sterling's situation and have approached the Blues to discuss a move.

The London giants are ready to let him go, but his £9.3m per-year wages are likely to be a dealbreaker. Juventus do not have the finances to hand the Englishman such a salary and the player will have to accept a pay cut to make the move.

Armando Broja likely to leave Blues, says journalist

Armando Broja's time at Chelsea is likely to come to an end this summer, according to transfer insider Ben Jacobs. The Albanian striker spent the second half of last season on loan at Fulham and had a disappointing time at Craven Cottage.

With a plethora of options at Enzo Maresca's disposal, the Blues are ready to cash in on him this summer. The London giants have already offloaded multiple academy graduates to help adhere to the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability Rules.

Broja rose through the ranks at Stamford Bridge and his departure could help the club adjust their finances. Recent reports have suggested that Wolverhampton Wanderers are eyeing a move for the 22-year-old.

However, speaking to GIVEMESPORT, Jacobs insisted that the Midlands club have pulled the plug on their pursuit of Broja.

“Armando Broja is expected to leave Chelsea next week. He was left out of the squad for the final friendly in America against Real Madrid despite not carrying an injury. Everton still retain a strong interest, but may need Dominic Calvert-Lewin to depart to fund any deal," said Jacobs.

He continued:

“Wolves are not focusing on another striker, despite reports, having been put off by Broja's asking price in the past. Chelsea still want £30m, but this late in the window might be forced to settle for less.”

Broja is under contract with the London giants until 2028.
