Chelsea are planning to hold talks with Xavi Hernandez regarding the vacant position at Stamford Bridge, according to journalist Pedro Almeida.

The London giants have already parted ways with Pochettino and are looking for his successor. Meanwhile, Xavi is also set to leave Barcelona this summer after a recent turn of events at the Camp Nou.

The Spanish manager won the league and Spanish Supercup since taking charge in 2021. However, the La Liga giants called time on his stay at the club following some controversial comments.

The Blues have identified Xavi as an option for the hot seat at Stamford Bridge. The club will meet the Spaniard to discuss the possibility of taking charge of the first team. However, Xavi is one of many candidates being considered for the job.

Chelsea are eager to sign Georgiy Sudakov this summer, according to The Express.

The Ukrainian forward has caught the eye with Shakhtar Donetsk this season and is also wanted at Tottenham Hotspur. Sudakov has appeared 34 times across competitions, registering 10 goals and six assists. The 21-year-old's efforts have impressed the Stamford Bridge hierarchy, who are now pushing to secure his services.

The London clubs have both already held talks to discuss a possible move, but Shakhtar are in no hurry at the moment. The Ukrainian club expect the player to shine at Euro 2024, which could help them seek a premium price for their prized asset. As such, they will only consider offers for Sudakov at the end of the tournament.

Conor Gallagher is unlikely to move to Tottenham Hotspur this summer, according to former Spurs right-back Alan Hutton.

The English midfielder will enter the final year of his contract with Chelsea this summer but hasn't been offered a new deal yet. Gallagher has been a first-team regular under Pochettino this season, but the club are apparently ready to let him go. Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou is reportedly a fan of the player and wants him to make the short trip across London.

However, speaking to Tottenham News, Hutton pointed out that a move is unlikely due to the animosity between the two clubs.

“Would he be a good signing? Absolutely, of course he would. He would come in and add competition. There’s a lot of competition already within there, but again, I think one or two like Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg might move on and free up space,” said Hutton.

He continued:

“He could play in there regularly, but do I think he’d make that swap between Chelsea and Tottenham? I’m not so sure because I think it has always been a hard one between the two clubs so I don’t know if that would happen.
"They’re a rival, so to sell one of your top players who has been captain throughout the season to a rival, I don’t know how that would sit so I’m not sure it will happen. If it did, he makes Spurs better.”

Gallagher appeared 50 times across competitions this season, registering seven goals and nine assists.
