Conor McGregor makes up for appalling Cristiano Ronaldo bet by winning millions in Euro 2024 and Copa America final predictions
Former UFC Featherweight and Lightweight champion Conor McGregor won big courtesy of Spain winning Euro 2024 after his Cristiano Ronaldo bet didn't gain profit. McGregor bet €60,000 on the Portuguese ace to retain the Golden Boot he won at Euro 2020 (via ESPN FC). Ronaldo, however, finished the competition goalless despite helping his team reach the quarterfinals.
McGregor, meanwhile, bet a massive €83,500 on Spain to win Euro 2024 (via Metro). La Roja recorded an unprecedented perfect campaign, winning the competition by beating England 2-1 in the final on Sunday, July 14.
McGregor pocketed a mega €1 million in earnings from that bet. He also placed a €365,000 bet on Argentina to win the Copa America 2024 (via Metro). Lionel Scaloni's side retained their continental crown with a 1-0 win over Colombia in the final, helping Conor McGregor win €1,003,750.
While his Cristiano Ronaldo bet didn't come to fruition, the other bets made up for it. The Irishman continues to win big despite not being active as a fighter since 2021.

Conor McGregor sent a supportive message to Cristiano Ronaldo after Euro 2024 game against Slovenia
Cristiano Ronaldo missed a penalty in extra time of the Euro 2024 Round of 16 game against Slovenia. The Al-Nassr superstar, though, stepped up to take the first penalty for his side in the shootout and dispatched it immaculately. Portugal won 3-0 on penalties after a goalless 120 minutes of action.
Ronaldo was in tears after missing the spot kick in the first half of extra time. Conor McGregor sent a supportive message to the Portuguese ace, writing on social media (via Gio CR7):
"True passion for country! @cristiano you are the greatest football player to grace the earth! God bless you brother! The pPast is Glory! The Present is History!"
Ronaldo and McGregor share an amicable relationship and have often been spotted meeting each other in public. The Irishman stood by his friend at a time when many ridiculed the Portuguese.
