Cristiano Ronaldo achieves rare milestone after scoring for Al-Nassr in 2-1 win against Al-Rayyan

Cristiano Ronaldo has now scored more goals since turning 30 than he did in his 20s, according to journalist Will Jeanes. The Portuguese superstar achieved this unique feat when he found the back of the net in the 2-1 win over Al-Rayyan on Monday, September 30, in the AFC Champions League.

Ronaldo has consistently been among the best footballers in the world in the past decade. Now in the twilight of his career, the 39-year-old's hunger for excellence remains intact.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner has earned a name for himself as a lethal goalscorer throughout his career. Initially starting off as a winger, Cristiano Ronaldo first gave the world an impressive display of his talents at Manchester United.

The Portuguese moved to Real Madrid in the summer of 2009, and took La Liga by storm. His thirst for goals propelled Los Blancos to greater heights and helped them achieve great success.

Ronaldo is Los Blancos' record goalscorer, having netted 450 times in 438 games during his nine-year stay. The Portuguese also scored 101 goals from 134 games for Juventus in his three seasons at Turin.

After a brief second stint with the Red Devils, Cristiano Ronaldo now plies his trade in the Middle East with Al-Nassr. On Monday, he scored his seventh goal of the season from eight appearances. In the process, he registered his name in the record books.

The Portuguese scored 440 goals from 596 games in his 20s, while playing for Manchester United and Real Madrid. However, Ronaldo has now found the back of the net 441 times in 523 games in his 30s, proving that his marksmanship has improved with experience.

Cristiano Ronaldo has scored 65 times from 72 games for Al-Nassr since arriving at the club in December 2022. The player recently crossed the 900-goal barrier in his career and currently has 904 goals to his name for club and country.

The four-time European Golden Shoe winner will turn 40 in February, but has shown no signs of slowing down. He now has eyes on the Saudi Pro League trophy, which has eluded him so far.

There's already talk that the Portuguese wants to appear in the 2026 World Cup. Most players his age would choose a slower life, but Ronaldo is still sweating it out on the pitch. As such, it wouldn't be beyond him to become the first footballer to play in six World Cups in 2026.
