Cristiano Ronaldo bags 4 million likes in just 2 hours with latest Instagram post in underwear
Cristiano Ronaldo raked in a massive four million likes on an Instagram post in just two hours.
Ronaldo is the most followed person on Instagram, boasting 584 million followers. The Portuguese icon uploaded an image of himself in just his underwear enjoying the sun. He simply added a sun emoticon in the captions.
The Al Nassr forward's followers obviously liked what they saw as the post reached 4 million likes within its first two hours of being uploaded. It has since garnered an astounding 5,187,000 likes and that number keeps rising.
Ronaldo broke the internet last November when he posted an image of himself and Lionel Messi playing chess. The two longtime rivals were promoting Louis Vuitton and their post made history. The post of the legendary duo ranks fourth in the most-liked Instagram posts in history.
Cristiano Ronaldo appears to be enjoying his downtime as his Al Nassr side continue to battle with Al Ittihad at the top of the Saudi Pro League. Faris Najd are second in the league, trailing Ittihad by a point with three games remaining.
The Portuguese legend has been in fine form since arriving at Mrsool Park in January. He has bagged 13 goals and two assists in 17 games across competitions.
German businessman sends Bayern Munich an email about funding Cristiano Ronaldo move
A German entrepreneur named Marcus Schon reportedly sent an email to Bayern Munich CEO Oliver Kahn to offer to fund a move for Cristiano Ronaldo. The email that was sent allegedly sent was reported on by Bavarian newspaper Abendzeitung. It states:
"It's conceivable that we could commit ourselves to the transfer fee or paying the salary excess over a basic amount if our company is clearly identified as the facilitator of the deal."
Schon is then alleged to have asked for a percentage of shirt sales that a deal for Ronaldo rakes in. However, it seems highly unlikely that the Portuguese great will be heading to the Allianz Arena.
Ronaldo still has another year left on his contract with Al Nassr where he earns a reported £178 million per year. Moreover, the Bavarians turned down the chance to sign the five-time Ballon d'Or winner last summer and in January.
The Real Madrid legend's age is not one that fits the profile of players that Bayern are looking to further improve their squad. Thomas Tuchel also decided against pursuing the iconic forward for Chelsea when he wanted to leave Manchester United last summer.
