Cristiano Ronaldo becomes first ever footballer to achieve incredible milestone after finishing as top scorer in Saudi Pro League
With his brace for Al-Nassr against Al-Ittihad in the Saudi Pro League, Cristiano Ronaldo became the first player in history to finish as the top goalscorer in four different leagues. He has now won the La Liga Golden Boot Award thrice, the Premier League Golden Boot, the Serie A Golden Boot, and the Saudi Pro League Golden Boot.
Ronaldo finished his first full season in Saudi football with 35 league goals, a Saudi Pro League record. Ronaldo passed the previous mark of 34 set by Abderrazak Hamdallah in the 2018-19 season. The current Al-Ittihad striker also achieved the feat with Al-Nassr in 2018-19.
Ronaldo scored a brace against Al-Ittihad during their 4-2 win. After a left-footed goal in first-half stoppage time, he scored in the 69th minute of the match with a header. The Knights of Najd finished the season with 100 league goals, one less than champions Al-Hilal.
Cristiano Ronaldo, meanwhile, has now scored 44 goals in 44 official matches for Al-Nassr this season, along with 13 assists. Counting his six goals in the Arab Cup of Champions, the 39-year-old has netted 50 goals across competitions.
