Cristiano Ronaldo hilariously mocks Pepe in Portugal training before Georgia clash, video surfaces as Bernardo Silva also joins him

Ahead of Portugal's UEFA Euro 2024 clash against Georgia on Wednesday (June 26), Cristiano Ronaldo has been filmed mocking Pepe during the national team's recent training session.

Earlier on Monday (June 24), Ronaldo and his A Selecao teammates took part in a group training session to prepare for the Euro 2024 clash against Georgia. The 39-year-old striker took a dig at Porto star Pepe, mimicking the centre-back's unusual warm-up routine.

As the Portugal captain continued to mock his ex-Real Madrid teammate, a few of his teammates were seen sharing a laugh with one another. Manchester City star Bernardo Silva and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) ace Danilo Pereira also mimicked Pepe's routine.

Ronaldo, who guided Portugal to glory at the Euro 2020, has failed to score a goal in two games at the Euro 2024 so far. However, the ex-Manchester United forward has laid out an assist at the tournament.

Portugal are currently atop Group F with six points from two matches.

At a pre-match press conference, Georgia and Valencia star Giorgi Mamardashvili offered his thoughts on his national team's start to the ongoing Euro 2024. He said (h/t OneFootball):

"First of all, I am very satisfied and happy because we are here and we have taken our first point. This is a historic moment. Of course, we could have won at the last moment, I'm a little disappointed. But this is football, anything can happen."

Hinting that Georgia are not afraid of Portugal, Mamardashvili added:

"Three points would have been very important, but one point will do because we continue our fight and we will have a very difficult match against Portugal. They are one of the favorite teams to win Euro. But we'll play our game there. We will do our best and we will see."

The Cristiano Ronaldo-led team have locked horns with Georgia once. They beat their Group F opponents 2-0 in a friendly back in May 2008.

Georgia, on the other hand, are bottom of Group F with one point from two games. They have scored twice and conceded four goals so far.
